That's right. 8.1, 8.2, and 8.3 were all free updates.

Windows 8. You will have to upgrade to Window-eyes 8. You will have to
contact Gw Micro to determine which version of Window-eyes 8 you choose to
upgrade to. I mentioned this because there have been four versions of
Window-eyes in the 8 series, namely Window-eyes 8.0, 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3.
