Hi Duyahn,
That's okay. I suppose it's just my experience too often on this list
that, after genuinely trying to help, one either gets impatient,
unsatisfied and persistent responses, or even no gratitude for trying to
help.
A couple of things to keep in mind for all listers is that responses are
completely voluntary; also, people are genuinely trying to help, based
upon their own experience; finally, certainly being blind or visually
impaired has its frustrations, and computers, which are supposed to help
us, can often drive us to the point of despair. However, I know a lot of
sighted people who are very impatient with computers, either because
they are not technically-minded, or because they are impatient by
nature. One more piece to chew on, if you don't mind me taking this
opportunity, is whether we expect so much from computers because of what
the media is promising technology can do for us, while we are
experiencing what it is actually delivering, and the gap between these
is pretty huge. This is just food for thought.
In short, give yourself, and all of us, a chance to work together to
find solutions. I haven't found very many problems which cannot be fixed
somehow.
With respect,
Rod

Hi Rod. Sorry if it seemed I was snapping. I was just saying that this
was an issue since it's release.

Even on the classic skin, this has been an issue.

Hi Duyahn,
Actually, AOL has not changed Winamp drastically in this new version.
What I think has happened is that you are using one of the Modern skins
rather than the Classic. Use Control-P to open Preferences, arrow down
to Skins, tab over to the list of skins, Up arrow to the Classic skin,
and press Enter. This should do the trick.
As for the ability to use the spacebar to pause Winamp, this is a
function of Jeff Bishop's Winamp Scripts app. If it is not installed,
spacebar does nothing, that is, spacebar is not a built-in Winamp hot key.
Cheers,
Rod

Ok!
I have racked my brain.
In the previous versions of Winam that I have had, I used to be able to
start one music file, and then insert another one after that first one
starts playing. Now, since this new release of Winamp, if I insert
another file after the first one, Winamp advances to the next file. I
hate AOL and what they have done to this version. How do I get the older
behavior again? I don't want to uninstall it and reinstall it. I feel
that is unnecessary. Also, I have a friend who is also running the
latest version of Winamp and when she presses the space bar to pause, it
doesn't do this at all. She can press the letter c, to pause but, that's
it. Any help on both these matters would surely be appreciated.
