The voices that come with Windows 8 are different than the Microsoft Speech Platform voices that you can get from GWMicro, these are not SAPI. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bob, K8LR" <[email protected]>

Don,

Windows 8.1 comes with three new voices from Microsoft. They are listed
under SAPI voices in W E.

I am a little confused as how and where to download the David voice you
are speaking about. Can you provide more info please.

Bob,

I agree with you, the Microsoft David voice is the best synth voice I have ever heard and it is now my default on windows 8.1. I haven't put the 8.4
upgrade on my windows 8.1 laptop, but the Microsoft David voice worked
GREAT
with W E 8.3.
