Tell it this way:

Each voice, gives you three informations.
First, the Language code, like DK for Danish, NL for Dutch Netherlands, SW for Swedish and so on. You want English, so look out for any voice with the EN.

Secondly, you hear the Dialect code. AU for Austrailian, CA for Canadian, GB for British, IN for Indian, and US for American.

And, finally, you hear the voice name.

In short, any of the voices starting out with EN, will be English voices, and you may want to try the whole bunch, which is something like 5 or 6.

Regards,

Subject: Microsoft voices

Hi Listers,

On the GW Micro site there is a combo box listing the Microsoft voices available for download but I can't make head nor tail of them. By down arrowing through the combo box each voice name is spoken but can't get WE to spell the voice name. What am I missing here?

There seems to be two or three letters before the voice name but don't know what this means without being able to have WE spell it out. Which are the english voices?

Thanks for any help
Neville.
