un fortunely w e is not releacing text from the browse mode buffer when you close a message. you are not the only one. the only way i have been able to get rid of the text is to reload w e. or maybe re drawing the screen when i switch to i e or firefox. this should dump the contents of the browse mode buffer when you re draw the screen with insert backslash.
