I am running Window-eyes 8.4 on a Windows 7 64-bit desktop. Thus far, I have not ventured into the area of message dictation except on my iPhone. But now I would like to get something to use on this windows PC.
Can anyone on list provide opinions preferably from first hand knowledge regarding the latest version of Dragon Dictate and or the dictation facility built into Windows 7. When referring to Dragon, I am referring to the lower priced of the two Dragon options, not the one which allows one to dictate PC commands. Earlier versions of Dragon required the person doing the dictation to train the program to get used to the sound and inflection of your voice. Is this still the case? Additionally, I know that Jaws users could purchase the very expensive J say scripts for Dragon, but I doubt there is anything comparable or necessary for Window-eyes. I would like responses from Jaws users also. Remember, this is for text dictation only, not for issuing PC commands. Thanks in advance.
