Dave,

I'm not sure what your question is: do you want to create a document from a
Word template, or do you not like how a template is creating its documents,
and so you wish to edit the template itself?

If you just want to create a document from a template, just use the File
menu and choose the "new" menu item, or press ctrl-n.

Once you choose your template, you end up with a Word document, which you
edit like any other document; the template just has set the document up for
you already, and typed in some of its text.

See my other recent postings here for links on training materials for using
Word 2010 (or 2013) with Window-Eyes, as well as a mailing list for Office
2007 and later users for questions.

Hth,

Chip

p.s.

I'll get to your error report as soon as I can.

Subject: working with templates in Word 2010

Hi, can anyone give me suggestions regarding how to insert data into a
predesigned template in Word 2010? Perhaps this has been covered but it is
new to me and I really don't have an idea of what I'm doing. There was an
error in the word advanced features app as well when I did download a
template. I have sent to the developer. But what's the best way to delete
the data that is provided in template to insert my own and expand upon the
original template?
Thanks, any help is appreciated,
Dave
