f11 key. However, it doesn't say the name of the song playing if the station isn't sending all the meta data. The speech comes through the sapi synthesizer on your machine. ----- Original Message ----- From: David Plumlee To: gwmicro Sent: Thursday, January 16, 2014 11:06 PM Subject: Reading Song Names in Tapin.com
When I run Tapin.com and select a station (my favorite is Baroque 'Round the Clock), the music plays fine; but I cannot find a way to reliably read the name of the currently-playing selection. Strangely, when I try to read around the screen with the mouse cursor or the WE cursor, those two cursors in WE appear to be locked so that nothing comes across but a "ding." I don't understand why Tapin needs to lock or take over the WE and mouse cursors so that you can't find out the name of the current selection. If I ALT-TAB out and back into Tapin, WE will read a song title it gets from somewhere; but I know that the reading thus gained is worthless because it is not the name of the CURRENTLY-PLAYING selection. Has anyone written a script in WE to give a true reading of the Currently-Playing Selection? David Plumlee If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
