Well first anything having to do with gw micro window-eyes or anything else
that gw micro writes is on topic for this list. The first thing I would do
if you are a jaws or NVDA user is turn on the insert layout. This is done
buy pressing alt+ctrl+0. This will give you commands that you are more used
to.

Then turn on the key describer with insert one and do the dance around the
keyboard. Considering the fact that you are now using the insert mode press
jaws commands here as you would with jaws. for example press insert t you
will be told this is the read window title command. You will see as you do
the dance that most of the jaws commands you are used to will carry over
here. When you are done with the dance around the keyboard press insert 1
again and the key describer will be turned off. Hope that will get you
started.

Subject: a window eyes newby

Hi all. First of all, I hope this is the appropriate list to post this type
of message.

My name is Ted Phillips, and I very recently downloaded the Window Eyes for
office offer. I am enjoying working with and learning the product. It is a
bit of a learning curve after working with the competition for so many
years, but I intend to stick with it.

I have wanted Window Eyes for years and just was not able to obtain a copy
till now. I think GW Micros offer is nothing short of miraculous. I think
it has the potential to effect millions of blind persons and giving them
computer access they might not have had before except in a limited way in
some cases.

I am open to any and all suggestions to make the user experience better. I
would be interested to know an easy way to get help for specific programs
while I am using them if it's possible.

Thanks for letting me post, and forgive me if this is off topic.

Thanks

Ted Phillips
