Try looking for a Thunderbird extension called "mailbox alert"
You can have messages set up for different folders as well as having an audio sound play when mail gets dropped in that folder. Each folder you want to monitor can have its own sound.

Greetings to the list.

If one creates a filter so that messages from a particular user automatically go into a mailbox located under the "Inbox" folder, the sighted user sees an alert that he or she should look in that box for a message. I operate with all of the mailboxes in my "Inbox" folder closed, so no such alert occurs. Of course, I can check the desired mailbox periodically for messages, but is there a way to trigger an alert that Window-Eyes can monitor?

Thank you for all help.

Craig
