O.k. after undefining the hot keys, where or how do you add in braille
input? And, can I leave my QWERTY K keys hooked up since I'm using a PS-two
keyboard, or, do I disconnect all keyboards and only use the braille
display? What does GW Micro mean when it says (GDB) in the hot key
deffinitions? This is all new.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi, You can undefign the gwmicro hotkeys in the braille hot key section with
focus enabled, and then adding in the braille input that way. That's what I
ended up doing

Subject: FOCUS BRAILLE DISPLAY AND VERSION 8.4

Hello,

I am running version 8.4 which is driving a Focus Braille Display. I look
in the manual under the hot key settings, and GW Micro uses the term GDB.
What key is that? How do you put the display in braille input mode? It
seems to follow the cursor and the mouse nicely. I figured out where some
of the key's are by trial and error. Others don't seem to work. Do I have
to disconnect the QWERTY keyboard to enable Braille input?

I called and wrote GW's support team, and they seemed to be lost. The
display manufacturer's manual says if you run third-party software, the
third-party developers are the best folks to go to for support for their
code.

Programmers from GW Micro worked on the code that controls the display under
Window-eyes. Please understand I'm not condemning their work, just need
some help from an expert on its use. I'm assuming pilot error.

Thank you,

Craig Martin
