Hi Elizabeth,
To prevent browse mode from toggling on and off automatically in forms
go to: verbosity, browse mode, and turn off Allow automatic form
interaction.
Regarding combo-boxes? I experience the problem once in a while. But not
very often. In general sites tend to work better in newer versions of IE
if you set it to show all sites in compatibility mode. This is under
tools, compatibility settings. It's good to keep it in mind though
because once in a while you may need to turn it off just to see if the
page works better without it.
I use IE 99% of the time and only have Firefox installed for the rare
occasion I need it. I know lots of folks like it but I've just never had
very good luck with it.
Hth,
Tom

I fill out a lot of forms. I am constantly using control-shift-a and
it really slows me down.
Also, has anybody noticed a change in how Combo Boxes respond on some
websites?
Often when I use alt-down arrow Window-eyes will
be silent on one of the choices. Any suggestions?
Also, anything anybody uses to make webpages work better would be
appreciated.
Can somebody talk about "no scripts" for instance used with FireFox?
Is there a similar app for use with IE?
I really am a long time computer user starting in the Apple 2E days.
So I am willing to learn.
Some websites are getting awfully tricky these days, particularly
financial ones. Any pointers are much appreciated.
By the way, scottrade.com works well for those of you who need such a
product.
Thanks folks.
Elizabeth
