Hi Jeff,
I think you were my braille instructor for a short time at Lions world
when I was there in 2011 when I took the evaluation test. anyway could
you add nemeth braille, and foreign language symbols braille to the app?
Maybe Spanish french german and italian braille symbols? Also wikipedia
has info on icelandic and irish gaelic braille among other languages. I
mostly use a slate and stylus to write braille but sometimes I pull out
the perkins brailler if I want to write something lots faster.

I have just posted an update to my BrailleQuiz app.
The main enhancement is a study feature so you can study the signs in any
category as well as take a quiz on those signs.
The help text follows:
Press Control-Alt-Shift-B to test your Braille skills.
The BrailleQuiz app can also be run from the app menu.
When the dialog comes up, you can choose the type of braille signs, and the
number of items to be tested.
Test yourself on the dot numbers of the alphabet, numbers, punctuation marks,
and several types of Grade 2 Braille contractions.
You can also test yourself on computer braille.
Several categories of Unified English Braille (UEB) have been added.
This will give you an idea of some of the changes coming with UEB.
Enter all for the number of items if you want all the items in that category.
You can choose to have the name of each braille sign spoken, or spoken and
spelled.
You can choose to study the signs or take a quiz.
If you choose to study the signs, you will be presented a list of contractions.
When you arrow up or down, you will hear what the contraction stands for and
then how to represent that braille contraction.
If you choose to take the quiz, you can enter letters, and numbers for any
Grade 2 signs or UEB signs that are needed.
You can also enter numbers when being tested on the braille alphabet, numbers,
and punctuation marks.
All numbers must be in order.
For example, to enter the contraction for although, which is a l th sign,
you would need to enter the letter a, the letter l, and the numbers of the dots
for th which is 1456.
The numbers must always be entered in order from 1 to 6.
Enter rr to repeat the entry or qq to quit.
There is also a separate button to let you view the simplified rules for using
the grade 2 signs and contractions.
There is another button to view the Unified English Braille rules.
You can use the arrows to scroll through these rules.
Here are some shortcut keys for the main dialog:
Study signs--S
Start quiz--Enter
List of categories--L
Rules for Grade 2 Braille--R
Rules for UEB--u
Close--Escape
Help--H.
When studying the signs, you can arrow up or down through the list, or use the
following shortcuts:
