Maybe you have too many tabs set in the home page section of the general
area of internet options. go there and clear it out and put in only the
home page you want. You can always use ctrl-w to close a tab you don't need
anymore. Clear your history as well.

Subject: I E 11 frustrations
It is my understanding that most people feel that internet explorer 11
works very well. Perhaps, but not on my Windows 7 64-bit system running
WE 8.4. It is difficult to describe the problems. But for example, when
I launch I E, a number of tabs show, primarily sites which I have
previously visited. They just seem to clutter the screen. If I were to
uninstall and then reinstall I E 11, what would be the steps to accomplish
this? Also, what if any changes should I make to the defaults to optimize
for use with WE 8.4?
Incidentally, for what it's worth, I have similar problems with the
current version of Firefox which leads me to believe that there is
something wrong with my windows configuration rather than with the
browser.
