Hi peter and all

Unfortunately, with so much misinformation flying around, people think that free equals inferior. In other words you pay for what you get. State agencies have been brainwashed into thinking that you really do need to pay over a thousand bucks for a screenreader that's worth a hill of beans, and the government contracts ain't helping much either. I hate the idea of it too. In principle, I agree that these agencies should use Window-eyes, but they're going to need a healthy dose of recommendations from Microsoft, or some other name that these agencies trust. For years JAWS has just been the De facto standard and you could get Window-eyes but you had to pull a lot of strings, and you were warned that Window-eyes wouldn't be quite as good. I'm certain that some state agencies will eventually switch, but like I say with the misinformation flying around out there, it's gonna be tough. One person already demonstrated that earlier today, and it's really sad because the information they were spouting simply is not true. Trust me it angers me too. I'm just getting inside the heads of some of these folks. Trust me it's scary.

Well I don’t think rehab agencies will be so stupid as to pay for a product when people can get a free product of better worth for free. Certainly colleges and universities won’t!
