Just a few things here.
Concerning Braille displays: The best thing for us as end users to consider is, we can ASK the support team to put together support in a polite manner. I am working with the team, now. I will say, that sending parts of the manual to a user may or may not help. There was one person who got a Focus to input Braille, but, my problem was understanding the set file procedure. Once I can be guided through it in a tutorial fashion, it might make more Sense. That's MY problem, though. I learn some things better with a well-assembled tutorial to start with, then, can go back through the manual and understand it more thoroughly. I understand everyone doesn't learn better that way, though. I suggest, that the support team put together a set of tutorials on managing set files. We also need to consider our deaf-blind end users, who use Braille, only. The support team is probably working on this. Now, as for the comments about our supposed dead shark, he's not dead by any means, because many rehab agencies promote him. I suggest we suspend all discussion of him here, since the list is not concerning him, other than those thing concerning both products. And, remember, GW Micro is trying to help users of that screen reader with a learn mode designed for them. Thank you support team! That shows nothing but class! Some folks may be using him with a Braille Sense, and, my Focus Blew is a product made by our supposed dead shark. It's all in what works for each one of us. As for Flaming either companies for a perceived faulty feature, or, flaming users of this great product for not reading is pointless. I find the manual in help format difficult, so, I did some digging and found it as a text file on my flash drive containing my mobile install. I opened it in note pad, and WAlla! Much better. I them put it in my documents folder for easy reach. I hope we can get a text version of the app developer's guide. Even these guides in Daisy format for a book sense, or N L S reader would be great, so we can do the recommended steps. Remember: Window-Eyes is the best screen reader on Earth in our opinion, or we wouldn't use it. Let's keep the list at the same high standard set by our screen reader's development team. Thank you. Sincerely, Craig martin If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only. If your reply would benefit others on the list and your message is related to GW Micro, then please consider sending your message to [email protected] so the entire list will receive it.
