Hi John,
The only thing I can tell you is that Reaper will not work with
Window-Eyes if you're running anything higher than Windows XP. The
problem is in the ReaAccess plug-in that was written to make Reaper
accessible to screen-readers. And the developer vanished a few years
ago. So there's no way it can be fixed. But, if you're running Windows
XP it should work fine.
Otherwise I don't know anything about GoldWave or CiscoVision.
Good luck,
Tom

hi folks,
I'm thinking seriously about taking an audio recording class on-line.
I'm sort of new to the digital recording venue. So for me, taking this
basic digital recording class is sort of diving into the deep end. The
class instructors use either Goldwave or Reaper. However, I've been
farting around somewhat with Audacity. The class starts in about a
week, and I don't want to fry my 'ol brain learning yet another
complicated piece of software. I'm already busy learning the layout of
an Allen - Heath DAW.
First of all, to make this a legal post to this list, can a couple of
you audio geeks on the GW list contact me off list to give me your
opinion on which one of the two above mentioned audio editors would be
the best/easiest to get a handle on for this class?
Secondly, is there anyone on this list who is familiar with the
CiscoVision "Audio Editing Fundamentals" class that can give me an
opinion on how the instructors are with WE users in general? What do
you think about the information offered?
Again, so as not to clutter the list with OT material, pleast get back
to me off list if you will.
Thanks,
John
