Dear List:
Have any of you applied for and successfully signed up for insurance through
healthcare.gov using Window-Eyes? The website says something like it is
compliant with Section 508 for assistive devices. I am using windows xp and
internet explorer 8. I got through the application and received the results
showing the tax credit information. Then, I was going to browse the available
insurance plans. The agent said to click on Select. However, it did not show
up as either a button or link. When I routed the mouse to it and clicked, it
took me somewhere else. Another occurrence I cannot explain is that if I turn
off browse mode and copy the web page to the clipboard, I can read the web
page from the clipboard plus, the clipboard reading of the information says
that some systems are unavailable. If I copy to the clipboard with browse mode
on, there is no such message being displayed, just the reading of the web page.
Thanks for any ideas. Regards: Ted Larson
