Hi Tom,

Just to be clear here, you're saying that my experience of IE 11 makes sense to you. You got search results using IE 10 while my problem is due to my using IE 11. Is this correct?

Thanks,

Rod

I had installed IE11 and then uninstalled it when I discovered Microsoft, in it's infinite wisdom, decided we all want tabbed browsing and removed the option to disable it. But that's neither here nor there.

Your timing is perfect. I just finished reading this week's Windows Secrets newsletter. One of the articles was about whether IE11 was ready for prime time or not. As with most new releases it was riddled with bugs. Pages didn't display or work correctly, flash content didn't work, and even some links could not either be seen or activated if seen. And the catch-22 is that IE11 does fix a newly discovered security hole in 9 and 10, but the fixes for its practical functionality have been slow in coming.

The writer's conclusion was to be sure to have Firefox on hand to pick up where IE11 falls on its face.

And with that having had been said, I just searched the knowledge base for "Window-Eyes" in IE10 and got 100 results.

Hth,
Tom

Hi Ralf,

I am trying to search the GW knowledge base, so I am supposed to enter
my search text only in the first edit box. If I put "window-eyes" in the
first edit box, leave the combo box at its default value, in Internet
Explorer, I get no search results.

Thanks,

Rod

Confiirmed! Try to enter the search criteria in the second edit field and
you get the results also under IE.

Subject: Unable to search GW knowledge base with IE

Hi,

If I use IE 11 to do a text search with the phrase "window-eyes" in the
GW knowledge base at:

http://www.gwmicro.com/Support/Knowledge_Base/

I get no results. However, if I use the current Firefox, I get lots of
results.

Can anyone confirm this for me?

Thanks,

Rod
