Thanks to those who replied to my query regarding starting Internet
Explorer 11 with a blank page.
The problem has now been solved and this is how it was achieved.
Go to, Tools, Internet Options, General and delete the url in the
editbox. Replace it with
about:blank and then click on OK.
Note the colon between about and blank.
