the only times I've seen this kind of issue is when the preview pain is open. I am not sure if Windows xp has this feature or not. I haven't used xp in so long. maybe somebody else may be able to help with this.

Subject: Some Progress viz. Possibly offtopic: Windows Explorer (in XP Pro SP3) freezing

Dear All,
Some of you may remember my problem with Windows Explorer freezing
when switching between folders. A list member emailed me privately
and suggested that I exit Window-Eyes and relaunch the program as a
possible remedy for the freezing. I am happy to report that the idea
has so far been effective in every instance of the problem.
What i would like to now establish is whether this brings us any
closer to understanding the root of the problem. Is there a
particular configuration in Windows Explorer (on XP Pro SP3) that
might react badly to Windoweyes or vice versa?

Sincerely, Matthew
