In the slideshow mode, I've had better luck using the Application Key and selecting Next, at least to advance from the first to the second slide. After that, I can use the spacebar. It doesn't always work, but often enough, it does. Richard Petty ILRU at TIRR Memorial Hermann (713) 797-7122

Hello Penny Your message may have become lost in the notes about tax software. I'll share my experience too. If I have to speculate I think this problem is related to browse mode. I have had it in Office 2003 and it still exists in Office 2010. I suspect it is browse mode, because another behaviour I've noticed is if I have Internet Explorer open and I am composing an email message, things happen that make composing the message an awkward experience. Closing IE makes the problem go away. As for Power point slides, in my opinion this is specific to Window-Eyes. Sadly the work around for me is to close Window-Eyes and launch NV Access. It handles the slide show properly. I have to go through more and more slide show presentations these days. Like you I went through the knowledgebase recommendations without the problem being resolved. And it will save me a lot of effort when GW Micro is able to correct those browse mode issues. Hi all, I have a bunch of slides to review before Monday. They were created by a work colleague, and I need to review them. But, I can't make WE read them. I looked up the problem on GWMicro's web site and read Jeremy's suggestions to fix the problem, but when I turn on browse mode, nothing happens, and when I hit Insert+Backslash afterwards, nothing continues to happen. Does anyone have a suggestion? I don't know if the PPTs are in Office 2010 or 2013 (I didn't create them), but I have Office 2013 and WE 8.4 on my computer. When the PPTs open, WE says, "compatibility mode." any suggestions? Soon? Thanks! Penny If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
