I use the Capital One site. I use the latest version of Window-eyes.
I have never experienced the kind of problems you describe.
Here are a couple of ideas.
Instead of clicking on a link, try pressing the Windows key and then
arrowing down to "open in a new window" and perhaps that will get you
better results. Also, what happens if you use Internet Explorer?
