Brendon. Your information is incorrect. Beginning with Windows 8.0, Windows Defender is the antivirus program that is part of Windows 8.0 and Windows 8.1. Microsoft Security Essentials has to be downloaded and installed unlike Windows Defender. It does work with Windows 7 64 and 32 bit editions.
