Hi Mauricio,

In the WE control panel, in the Help menu, ensure that Show advanced
options is checked.
In the tree view, Navigate to General, expand this, and navigate to Other.
Tab to Speak Tool tips.

This is what controls additional info spoken when items are selected.
Kevin's suggestion is best, because the additional info spoken
throughout Windows is often quite helpful.
However, were you to set this option to Program specific rather than its
default of Global, you could tailor it to your needs. When doing this,
make sure you know what set file is active.

hth,

Rod

Hi Mauricio:

If Window-eyes says the name of the icon first, you can prevent it
from saying anything else by pressing an arrow key immediately after
you have heard the name of the icon, or simply pressing the control
key to stop it from saying any more.
