For any scripters who are interested, this app uses the MSAA info attached
to windows, along with MSAA events, to help find some needed info displayed
in an Outlook window.

Subject: announcing a new app: Outlook_InfoBar

Hi all,

Just a note to say that you may not know this, but in Outlook appointments
and meetings and in email messages, you can frequently have important
messages displayed in a little window (near the top of the main window)
called an Info Bar. This is very similar to the IE notification bar.

The IE Enhance app automatically plays a sound and speaks the text when a
message appears in the IE notification bar; so I've written a similar app
for Outlook. It also lets you specify some messages which appear so often
that you don't wish to be notified for them, and so they won't trigger the
sound or speak.
Some of these messages are important (such as the ones in the calendar which
tell you that your appointment conflicts with another).

The app is named Outlook_InfoBar, and works with Outlook 2007 or later.

Enjoy,

Chip
