Hi Vince,

Window-Eyes doesn't do OCR. OmniPage is used by many WE users for OCR tasks., and it is quite accessible. I, on the other hand, have been using Kurzweil 1000 for many years, and I continue to upgrade to the current version since it does so much more than OCR; it's a Daisy format reader, a utility to convert text to audio files, and has tons of file format converters for input and output; you can use it as a study tool as well, since you can create outlines and bookmarks; it has a dictionary and thesaurus, too. It's expensive to buy initially, about a grand U.S., but it'll stay with me now forever. smile

hth,

Rod
