MSSE will be updated and supported until July 14 of next year. However
please be mindful the notification area icon may show that your PC is
potentially unprotected. This is MS's way of reminding you that while
you can continue to use XP with MSSE your PC will become more and more
vulnerable as time goes by. Just letting you know.

Hi,
Now that XP is not supported and MS security essentials is not being
updated, is there a decent free anti-virus compatible with WE I could use
until I get I get my XP machine transferred to my Windows 7 machine. If
there is, can I use the same program with the Windows 7 machine?
I apologize for asking this since I know it has already been asked ad
nauseum, but I can't find any of the emails that covered the topic at this
point in time.
Thanks for the help.
I am getting a Windows 7 machine from a friend but it won't be for at least
another 2 months or so.
Thanks again,
Daniel
