Hi Dave,
When creating a link in an email, you simply highlight the text and only
the text of a full URL, copy it to the clipboard with Control-C, and
paste it into the email with Control-V. Or, type it as text like this:
http://www.gwmicro.com
The http:// is what makes it a link. In short, then, only work with
text characters which make up the link.
If you have a favorite saved in your bookmarks, just highlight it, hit
the Application key, arrow up to Properties, press Enter, and you'll be
in the edit box containing the text of the link, and it'll no doubt be
highlighted. There is where you could press the Control-C to copy it,
and then paste it into your email.
hth,
Rod

Hi all. This sounds like a stupid question to which I should know the
answer. How do I embed a link in an email I am sending via
Thunderbird? eg. many of you send emails with a link for people to
point people to detail they need to read.
