Hi Rod,

I was just in Thunderbird and toggled punctuation to all and exited tb and the punctuation was still on as my punctuation setting in tb is set to global . If the program in use is set to global scope, the toggle punctuation and more app toggles global punctuation. If the program in use is set to program scope then the punctuation toggles just for the current program.

As an example, go into notepad and change the scope for your screen punctuation to program for each punctuation type, save the settings, press escape to return to notepad then use the hot key in notepad to toggle punctuation. It has now effected just notepad and the punctuation setting is automatically saved.

Hi Chris,

The Toggle Punctuation and More app alters the punctuation setting in
the currently active program-specific set file.

Hi,

The command is insert-5 on the number row, above the qwerty keyboard.

Another thing to keep in mind, most window-eyes settings are not
automatically saved.

If you have not gone into the Window-eyes control panel and hit save
settings, you can revert them by.
1. Press control-backslash for the Window-eyes control panel.
2. alt-f for the file menu.
3. Arrow to reset settings and press enter.

You can also shut down Window-eyes by pressing control-insert-f4 then
enter. and start it again by pressing alt-control-w.

or finally reboot your computer.

Just a note, if designed apps can automatically save settings like the
third party toggle punctuation and more app.

Hello fellow window-eyes users:

Somehow I’ve turned something called format alert on in Window-eyes and
I don’t know how to turn it off. I’m not sure what hot key I pressed to
turn it on in the first place. Could someone tell me how to turn this
option off? Also, I had asked this other question a couple days ago, but
no one has answered yet. When you receive a file on GW Connect, you get
a window that gives you three basic options:

Except, decline and open. While on a Skype call with a friend, I sent a
file. However, when my friend pressed the except button, he wasn’t able
to find the file. When you except a file that someone has sent you
through GW Connect, where does the file go? Thanks.
