Greetings to all,

I need to preface this with an admission that I am not a power user of WE. I am using WE 7.5 and XP is the version of Windows.

Now for my question.

I have the tip of the day set to display when I turn on the computer. This morning's tip spoke about set file versions and how to determine what one has l9oaded and how to update them if they are out of date.

When I checked on this I discovered that many of the set files I have are indeed out dated. My question is:

If I update these files will they still work with the software currently loaded on my computer? Are these updates the ones that will work with my current version of WE, or will the computer go out to the WE site and download and then load the most recent versions of those set files, disregarding the version of WE that I am using?

Thanks for the wisdom of this entire gang!

Melita W

P.S.
I am not interested in updating any of the versions of software currently in use.

Hi Allen,

Numpad-Insert-Accent; Accent is just below the Escape key on a full-size keyboard. Press it repeatedly until you hear the setting you want.

Hi,
Sorry for all the questions. I have installed the app for toggling punctuation and more on and off. I couldn't find how to actually how to do it. Can someone give me the keystroke, to do it? Again, sorry for all the questions, but I am new to WE, and I am hoping to learn all I can.

                Thanks again,

I finally manage to teach my dog to beg. Last night he came home with fifteen bucks.
