Change the view to detail and also when you are in that folder, hit the cursor key left a couple of time. F5 to refresh that folder. Does that help? -------------------- regards Thomas N. Chan From: Michael Massey [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, 25 April 2014 8:46 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Items in my downloads folder no longer read correctly Hi. I hope someone can help me out, smile. Last evening I was on the phone with one of the Microsoft accessibility specialists trying to solve a problem of why when trying to open a document in Adobe reader 11 I get an error. This error only occurs on my Dell Xps-8500 desktop running Windows 8.1 and Window-eyes 8.4. The error does not occur on my Dell Xps-501laptop running Windows 7 64 bit edition and Window-eyes 8.4. The issue is still unresolved on my desktop when opening a document in Adobe 11. Through multiple trials and errors, the technician found that the document could be saved to a location and when it is opened, Adobe 11 will read it. He even installed Adobe 10 with the same results. Ok, here's the issue. When I open my downloads folder to find an item with first letter navigation, the items are read as one of say 100, two of 100 and so on. How do I get first letter navigation back? And what would have changed the way the items list is read? Thanks. Mike M.
