Hi Isac: I read all the docs, Control Panel Settings and even looked at a couple of kb articles but found not much of any use. I do remember some audio sessions when windows 8 first came out but dont know what to look for - I think they are someplace else and I have to continue looking but so far I've found no tutorials only rreference materials about hot keys etc... I havent yet found things like identifying ribbons, charms and whatever else is on the modern operating system UIand no hot or cursor or mouse keys dedicated to them. and I am still looking specifically for how to read the split button and select an item and get back to the button. In Jaws I think it is ctrlspace to open the list and space to fire off the button but dont quote me I didnt pay much attention to that write up since it wasnt WindowEyes, just stumbled across it googling for a WE solution. So it can be done if I read that quick blurb correctly. Anyway, what I am saying is I have been doing my homework but running up aginst it and down to my last idea of listening to hours of podcasts to see if anything is mentioned in any of them about the split button and more color on how to know when I'm in a ribbon, charm or some way to fiure out Windows 8.1 with the tools available in WindowEyes. There is documentation that is built in to window eyes just press control backslash to get in to the window eyes control panel. Next press the alt key. Next press the right arrow to get to the help menu.
