I have exactly the same problem, and others with more skill tha n I may be able to give more details solutions/steps which may prove helpful.
Apparently it is coding within Google Groups itself with which Window-eyes, (and other screen readers), cannot work. I hope that GW micro has a plan to improve google groups access.
