hi mcleod,
I don't use the wineyes.exe /k when WE8.4 has crashed because it does
not work for me. I use the skill.exe file to kill WE8.4.
Here are the instructions on how to create this batch file:
download pskill from:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896683
:
then copy and paste pskill.exe
to
c:\windows
copy the following: to a notepad blank page,
pskill wineyes.exe
pskill gwm32.exe
pskill speech32.exe
pskill bdisplay.exe
S
to a notepad document, and save it as:
kill_we.bat
then create a short-cut to this killwe.bat file and place it on the desktop.
then right click on the short-cut and
press r
for property
then tab to hot key and give it a hot key.
I use control alt k which stands for kill WE-- smile.
I have been told that these instructions are a bit of an overkill (no
pun intended)
but it works for me, and that's what counts.
I hope it works for you.
Good luck, Manny please help me reach a million clicks by forwarding my
stand-up comedy performance to your friends, or Tweet or Facebook it.
