Hi,
My point was, if you are typing in a date and need to use the slash key you
should not have been in browse mode, therefor not needing to use the bypass
key. For some reason Browse mode was on and you used the bypass key.

also some bad form design, along with rod's reminding me that the
forward slash is a window-eyes browse mode command.

in fact, it defaulted to today's date, which my braille display reported
as having - "dash" separators. i have speech punctuation turned off.
so the syntax said dd/mm/yyyy, but the entry needed to be dd-mm-yyyy.
how stupid is that?

with all of this in mind - i am holding out for the new and improved
browse mode. we are unlikely to ever have a truly perfectly designed
form that ticks all of our boxes, but the interaction between the screen
reader, the browser and forms needs to be more robust.

thanks.

vaughan.

even with using the bypass command, entering the date was still
problematic, yes to all of this, but
