You can read chats just fine.
What you can no longer do is check missed calls or access voice mails.

It seems here lately that Window eyes, and the regular version of
Skype are no longer playing nice with each other. The windows used
to be maximised, and you used to be able to read messages with ease.
You can't now. You have to fight with the stupid banners, get Window
eyes to read the message and such. And if your in another part of
your computer, Window eyes is delayed in saying message 1 not found
for example. This is not happening with GW Connect. This happens
with the regular Skype client. I would please like to have this
fixed. This is horrible!
