Hello,
Process is below: If it's not already highlighted, click the 'Apps' option on the 'Search' panel to view all of the available apps in the start screen. Click once on the background of the 'Apps' screen. I believe this is Control+ Miness. Please advise me if it is not. We will create shortcuts to Calculator, Notepad and Windows Media player on the desktop. Right click on 'Calculator' - a small tick will appear to indicate it is selected and a row of options will appear at the bottom. Click on 'Pin to taskbar', the bottom row of options will then disappear. Do the same with 'Notepad' and 'Windows Media Player' - (Right click then pin to taskbar). You can repeat this process with any other apps you wish to make a shortcut for on the desktop. Press the Windows key on the keyboard to return to the Start screen. Click on the 'Desktop' tile to launch the desktop environment. You should now see the shortcuts you created list on the desktop. Note: You can press Windows+D as well. I managed to pin a program to the taskbar, but I would prefer it on my desktop.
