Hi Hui,

Microsoft Security Essentials which works for Windows Vista and later is here:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-CA/windows/security-essentials-download

The most accessible version of Malware Bytes is 1.75 and is in my drop box here:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/3msb6bmwwk358om/malware%20bytes%20-%20mbam-setup-1.75.0.1300.zip

After you install it, click on the update tab and uncheck the two check boxes which are set by default to update the software automatically. Then click Exit to save your settings. If you don't do that then you will be upgraded to the current version which is not screen reader friendly. However, keep in mind that even though the program will not be updated, the virus definitions will be updated, which is all you need.

hth,

Rod

    Hi Walt,

I find the free Microsoft Security Essentials accessible and
adequate for antivirus, and Malware Bytes for spyware; in the case
of the latter, stick with version 1.75 for the most accessible
    solution.

    Hi all,

I am at the end of my subscription of Vipre and am
considering nod32. Is it accessible? I have 3 weeks to go
before I need to make a decision. Thank you,

    Walt
