If you want to update the database, the program is updated as well.
So, if you want to use the program save with the latest update, you'd better use another program while the database is more than 400 days old.

Go in to the programs section of your c:/ drive, and then look for malware
bytes. Delete folder. Then reinstall.

Hi Duyahn,

When you say make sure all Malware Bytes folders are gone, other than uninstalling the program, how do I ensure this?

Thanks,

You need to shut Malware bytes down and then install the older version. But, before you do that, make sure that all folders for Malware bytes are out of
the computer. And, then, take your cursor and go to the update tab and
uncheck the notification for upgrading.
