I shut the uac off and went to win patrol. I get the same security but it remembers what you open all the time so unless there is a file change it doesn't bother you all the time.

Here's a setting in Windows 7 that, for me, helped in one area. Let me explain what was going on first. I'd get those UAC dialogues asking me if I wanted to allow a program to make changes to my system. Window-Eyes would take quite a long time to read the dialogue, but eventually it did. Here's what I learned from some nice person that resolved this issue on my PC. Hit the Windows key to bring up the start menu. In the search box type UAC You'll get an option to change UAC settings. For me the option was already selected, so I hit ENTER to activate it. Now I was prompted with the UAC dialogue to make sure I wanted to make changes. It took a while, as usual, to read this dialogue, but I hit SHIFT+TAB to get to the YES button. Once there hit ENTER to activate it. Now you'll be in a dialogue to change the UAC settings. You want to tab to a list of levels to set the UAC. Set it to level 1, tab to OK, and hit ENTER. The UAC option will appear again, just hit SHIFT+TAB to get to the Yes button and hit ENTER. That made a great difference with the UAC dialogue. From what I understand, option 3, which was what my settings were on dims the desktop when the UAC dialogue appears. This confuses Window-Eyes. Option 1 still prompts for the uaC for programs, but for me Window-Eyes is much more responsive with this dialogue. There's my suggestion. I think I recalled everything correctly, but if not someone is very free to correct me. Have a great day, and don't work too hard. GO REDS!
