Hi. My wife's computer has AVAST! so thought I'd give it a try. Well, seems it not only installed google chrome and the google toolbar, it also told my machine that "http://"; does not have any program associated with it, though ever since I was a wee lad in computers in 1991 I've known about "http://"; being an internet shortcut. So, with all this waltzing around, I get to it eh? :) how do I uninstall AVAST! seems extremely reluctant to go, even more so than google chrome. keeps warning that if I, such and such, all these bad things will happen to me and I shouldn't, etc. you all know the drill. anyone have good luck with it and can recommend how to go about solving my dilemma? I know, hind sight and all that, but I need to go forward and this isn't helping.
