Hi List, I have a friend who just got a new windows 8.1 computer, and she has been a jaws user for a long time. She got office 2013 and w.e 8.4. However, We are having a problem with her laptop. Whenever she uses the laptop, and w.e, and windows sounds, the sounds fade in, and acaisonally fades out. I'll give you am example. When we were setting up her computer, I hit the windows key, and window-eyes said start menu but it faded in while it said that so it was impossible for us to hear what was going on. We contacted the local computer store, and they said it could be a w.e issue but when another tech friend of mine tried it with headphones, the sounds did not fade in or out. The computer is a acer laptop, and it runs windows 8.1. Has anybody else experienced this? She's not a fan of whereing headphones by the way as it gives her headaches.
