Well, it's a business decision. They apparently want to have control
over the product, and its future development. These changes often happen
when a product is sold or taken over by another company.

IT used to be fast and responsive, when it was version 3.8 and a few
versions after that. IT's really sad that Microsoft is now deciding that
this is how they are going to cut off they're nose despite they're face.
I think they might look back and say, "Boy, we made a huge mistake."
