I just did something like that today. What you would want to do is this. 1: to fix the problem right away, hit control alt up arrow and that should straighten it up. Then you want to go to your sys tray and click Intel r graphics. Then click graphics options. Arrow down to hotkeys and hit Right arrow to open it. Click enter on disable. There you should have it. Hello fellow Window-Eyes users: I just received my brand-new HP desktop computer running Windows 8.1. As it sometimes happens when we get new computers, when we install Window-Eyes and try to adjust speech parameters using the control, alt and arrow keys for the first time, instead of adjusting Window-Eyes's speech, it ends up rotating the screen.. You know, where the screen flips upside down, sideways ETC. Why anyone would want their computer screen to do that is beyond me. But anyway, I've heard that there's a way to stop this from happening. It has something to do with the mouse settings I think. Its been quite a while since I've had to turn this feature off, so if any of you have ever had to do it, could you tell me how to prevent my screen from rotating every time I press the control alt and arrow keys? Its possible that the tech guy already turned it off for me, but in case he didn't, I'd like to know how to turn this rotating thing off. Is it something that we as screen reader users can do ourselves? or does it require technical knowhow. Thanks. Mike Rochester, NY.
