Chris, Person asking for help: Alt-h for help, remote assistance, ask for help., send alternate help request. Give person offering help the 8 digit password. Wait till they tell you to hit connect.
Person offering help: Alt-h, remote assist, offer help, type in name, 8 digit password, hit ok tell user to connect. Person asking for help gets a dialog and answers yes that they want to allow the connection. That should sum it up.
