It is not all that much different for hotkeys in the newer flavors of Windows. And the screen reader hotkeys, basically would be the same as well. What you will have to deal with all the more, is the different layout of certain screens. Like the Windows Explorer screen, which may be a bit confusing at first.

I just did a quick search on the net, for the term:
    Hotkeys for win7?
and a long list popped up, of quite a number of sites that will give you diverse instructions. The third match down that list, seems to be a good place to start, since they seem to have lists of hotkeys for a real good number of software, like different flavors of Windows, Mozilla products, Microsoft products, Winamp and more. I here will provide you the direct link for their list of Win7 hotkeys. When the site opens, please hit the T button, to go to the first table. The hotkeys are grouped into tables, each dealing with its own piece of software. Each table has an attached heading, right above it. So, Hit the T-key, to go to the next table; then hit the Shift-H, to go to the heading right above it, and you will get to know what hotkeys this table is holding. Repeat this search method for all the different tables on the site, and you will be an advanced master even before you turn on your new computer. :)

When you are ready to explore more software, try go to the top of the page, and then repeatedly press the S-key, till you get to "list three". It holds 168 entries. Now press the I-key, to jump your way down through the items, which is all the different software they deal with. Press Enter when you find something of interest, and check the tables of the upcoming page.

In other words, everyone may want to bookmark the below mentioned link, that you can keep it handy for later reference. Hope it all helped you fill your weekend. Enjoy. BTW, I have been using Windows-based computers for more than a decade, and only two minutes of exploring this site, even taught me a couple of hotkeys I have been missing forever. There you have the goodie...:)

Hi all,

My new computer with Windows 7 and WE 8.4 will be finished this weekend. I am unable to get the training material I want until next weekend. Could someone please send me a few hot keys for using Windows 7 and WE 8.4 so that I can at least get started? Otherwise I will not be able to use my computer at all until next weekend. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Paulette
