1. If Window eyes quits speaking, the Kill Window eyes command forces it to unload from memory. 2. Insert-ctrl-f4 is the normal way to shut Window Eyes down if you want to use another screen reader for something else.

What is the difference between the "kill WE" command you wrote about and the batch file you recommend creating? When or why would you use each? No Ted. ctrl-alt-f4 will kill Window Eyes. Insert-ctrl-f4, will unload Window eyes and properly close the program. Kill Win Eyes will work if Window eyes has just stopped speaking, or has frozen. ----- Original Message ----- From: Ted Larson To: Duyahn Walker Sent: Wednesday, September 03, 2014 3:36 PM Subject: Re: quick way to unload Window-Eyes. Duyahn: Is the control-insert-F4 to unload Window-eyes the same thing as using the Kill Window-Eyes app command control-alt-F4? Thanks. Hi Folks: Is there a quick way to unload WE without going to the menu first? Thanks much. If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
