Yes, the google interface has some things to be desired, but it is
usable. Turn auto load off, that helps. But to say that navigation is a
"disaster" is a bit of an overstatement. There is also the mobile amazon
site one could use, the disadvantage of that though is that it's not
near as full featured as the full site. I have heard through the
grapevine that browse mode will be different in WE 9, I'll be interested
to test that out. The aria partial refreshes are difficult to work with,
the noscript add-on works well for that though. So, I apologize if this
has come off too bluntly, but to me, a disasterous situation is the fact
that apps are being written in the qt and JRE frameworks and are not
accessible, and there are some great ideas out there. It sucks to
download an open source app and find out that it's not accessible with
either the keyboard or mouse cursors because of how it's written.
just my thoughts.

Unfortunately, browsing with Window-Eyes is a disaster, more and
more sites
are simply unusable. Many sites can be used with firefox and NVDA
rather
than Window-Eyes. Hopefully version 9 will be out soon, otherwise
people
will have to switch to NVDA.
