I also never use the accessible site, only the main one. I tried the accessible
site some time ago, but it wouldn’t sell me downloadable music on it, so I went
back to the main site.
I also navigate by headings, but I use the Window Eyes Find command a lot. For
example, I do what Chris does, entering des or descrip or something similar to
find a product description; if it’s books I’m looking at, I search for the word
pages if I want to know how many pages are in the book or when it was published
(because that info is usually right next to the number of pages); or the word
editorial if I want to hear what the book is about. There are other examples I
could give, but that’s the general idea. So I can get around the main site
pretty well and I use it quite a bit.

Hi,

I never use the accessible amazon site.

One thing you’ll want to keep in mind when searching for a product, heading
level 3 will jump you from one search result to the next.

Activate a product of interest and when its page loads, I have searched for des
with control-shift-f, most of the time it finds the description.

You can also just jump by heading levels in most cases.

Subject: Navigating Amazon

Hi all,

I really like the Amazon accessible site for ease of use, but I can’t find any
item descriptions. I have used the full site, but it is so difficult to use
that I usually just go back to the more accessible site. Does anyone know of
any way to make the full site easier to use with Window Eyes, or if I am just
missing the description in the product details of the more accessible Amazon
site? Thanks. I am using Windows 7 and WE 8.4.

Paulette
